Individual Volunteer Information

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Humane Society of North Central Florida!

Our volunteers are integral to the success of our organization. Without volunteers, we would be unable to save as many animals as we do.

We are always looking for dedicated individuals to help us throughout our organization with a variety of tasks ranging from dog walking, cleaning, and socializing with animals to laundry, dishes, thrift store operations and special events.

Volunteer Vision Statement:

The Humane Society of North Central Florida will have a high-quality volunteer program with high retention and high impact on the community. This will be achieved by integrating an organized on-boarding process, inclusive culture, as well as a thriving team of passionate and compassionate volunteers and staff.

Humane Society of North Central Florida is proud to have certified as a service enterprise organization. Functioning as a service enterprise allows our organization to utilize volunteers in ways that better achieve our mission and better serve our community while also providing volunteers with the best possible experience. As a service enterprise, the Humane Society of North Central Florida is among the top 11% of non-profits nationwide in volunteer management and organizational performance. Through the certification process, we have improved not only the volunteer onboarding process but also the overall volunteer experience. We are excited for you to join our team and learn more about how your time and talents can improve the welfare of pets and the people who love them across North Central Florida!
